The Drug Take-Back Event

Buckeye PD had a successful Prescription Drug Take-Back event Saturday (April 30). According to an officer involved, they received “25lbs of old, expired, and no longer needed drugs at the collection point.”

The availability of the permanent Rx Drug Drop-Off box in the Police Department lobby contributing to lower numbers this year, but that should be considered a success, both because these drugs were removed from access, but also because the drop-off box is getting quite a bit of use.

So, thank you Buckeye for caring for our youth and doing what we can to keep Rx Drugs out of the hands of those who might misuse or abuse them.
